Revenue Analysis

All mine models contain a Revenue analysis sheet that shows prices for each mine product, metal contained in each concentrate produced, the percentage of metal paid for by the smelter, smelting and refining charges paid for metal in each concentrate, royalties and shipment costs, concentrate grades and the value of metal in concentrate.

The prices used to calculate mine revenues are LME annual average prices for the metal concerned, unless the mine operator reports actual realized prices. Treatment and refining charges are based on reported toll treatment charges, unless (again) the operator discloses actual TC/RCs paid. When we depart from LME pricing and standard toll TC/RCs we always say so in the Notes and References section of the models.

The Revenue module concludes with lines showing net smelter return and operating cash flow for the operation. These numbers drive the DCF sheet.

See the Revenue sheet for Grasberg.
