Our overall privacy policy is simple. Under no circumstances will minecost sell or share any information about you or your company with any person or organization except as authorized by you or as may be required by law.

Who we are
Minecost.com is a co-operative website using shared information from mining analysts employed by mining companies, stockbrokers, investment banks, commercial banks and government agencies. Between us all, we are the best repositories of strategic mining information in the world. Through the internet we can bring all this information together.
The minecost website is operated by World Mine Cost Data Exchange Inc. which co-ordinates the modelling efforts of mining and resources analysts from around the world. We are analysts who create the models that are posted onto the site, using data we collect ourselves and data contributed by analysts who are registered users of the site.
World Mine Cost Data Exchange is incorporated in Delaware with its registered office located in Wilmington. The modelling work is done out of Australia. We have contributors and representatives based in New York, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Information we collect
When you register for a user ID and password, you complete a simple form that records certain information including your name and organization, your business address and contact numbers, your email address and in some circumstances your credit card details.
When you download models and free data, we ask for your email address.

What we do with it
Registration information is needed to issue you with a user ID and password and for billing purposes.
Email addresses are used to notify you of model revisions and new models posted onto the website. Email notifications go out once per month.
Apart from the monthly email bulletin, we do not send "marketing" emails.
None of this information is stored on line.
None of this information is disclosed to third parties
Information about what models or data you download is kept confidential.

Opting Out
If you download free data without registering, you will receive our monthly notification of model/data revisions and new models. If you do not wish to receive these monthly bulletins, you need only reply to the email with the word "remove" as the subject. Your email address will then be removed from our list. Alternatively you may go to the removal page.
If you are a registered subscriber, you receive a monthly email report on model revisions and new models, plus any special information for subscribers. We also use the monthly subscriber email report as an unobtrusive way of tracking your status. Subscriber emails that "bounce" generally indicate that a subscriber has left his current position and on that basis we usually cancel the user ID and password of subscribers whose email address no longer works. So keep it up to date!
Again, if you do not wish to receive monthly subscriber reports, you need only reply to the email with the word "unsubscribe" as the subject. Your email address will then be removed from the subscriber list. Note that if you unsubscribe we will cancel your user ID and password. But you can always re-register at any time.

Security
At minecost we use 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt registration information. The information is encrypted on your computer, sent through the Internet as jumbled code, and decoded on our secure server. It cannot be read in transit.

Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that some web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie cannot read data off your hard drive or read cookie files created by other sites.

The minecost.com website does not use cookies.
