Minecost car in Targa Tasmania 2010

Targa Tasmania is an exciting International Classic tarmac rally with competitive stages on closed roads for the best touring, sports and GT cars in the world. See Targa Tasmania 2000 on this page for more information.
For the 2010 event, minecost sponsored an Alfa Romeo Guilia 1750 which won two Targa Trophies, including one for outright Class Winner.

Red Centre to Gold Coast Rally

The Red Centre to Gold Coast Rally in Australia was run during September 2008 covering 7000 km over 12 days. Travelling over remote roads and tracks in outback Australia, the rally re-lived the challenges the Round Australia Trial drivers had to face from the 1950s to the 1990s, and tested the endurance of drivers and vehicles. The trial was made up of competitive rally sections on closed public roads or private farm tracks, timed to the second over challenging terrain. These competitive sections ranged from 20 to 100 kms in length, and were linked by transport sections to be covered at road legal speeds.
Royalco Resources Ltd director David Ogg and Minecost.com Michael Farrell were driving car 49, a 1971 Ford V8 Futura XA. Of the 66 cars that started in Alice Springs, only 51 reached the finish at the Gold Coast. We finished number 43. See more at the official rally website.

SME 2008 Salt Lake City

The 2008 SME AGM and Exhibit was held in Salt Lake City this February with the theme "New Horizons/New Challenges". A highlight was Doug Silver's excellent keynote address on the minerals supercycle. PDAC 2004 Toronto

PDAC's 73rd annual international convention and trade show was held in Toronto over March 7-10. Over 7,000 delegates attended with nickel and diamonds running hot. 2004 SME Annual Meeting

Financial Modelling Course 2003 in Perth, Australia

During 2003 we presented a four day course on financial modelling for the mining industry. This was a "hands on" program using minecost models to show how it is done. WME's Survival 2001

Minecost was invited to speak again at World Mine Equipment's Survival 2001 conference at Toronto in September 2001. The theme of the 2001 conference was cost control and cost reduction strategies, similar to the Survival 2000 event.

The theme of the Conference was cost control and cost reduction strategies, and we had the opportunity to speak about mine modelling for bench-marking and operating cost analysis.
