UPDATED MODELS

During October we updated all models for revised price and exchange rate forecasts for 2009.
The earlier price and exchange rate forecasts for 2009 were set at the beginning of the year
when the outlook was much gloomier than now. We have also taken the opportunity to revise our expected
fuel and consumables prices for the year. Higher LME prices and the weaker US dollar have transformed
the cost outlook for 2009 and 2010-2012, as reflected in the model revisions and updates.

All cost curves have been re-estimated for 2009 and new cost curves added for 2010.

In accordance with the minecost update policy, if you have downloaded any of these models and cost curves
over the past three months you are entitled to download the file(s) again at no additional charge.
