MINECOST SUBSCRIBER REPORT FOR DECEMBER

ALL COST CURVES UPDATED FOR 2005 COSTS & PRICES
----------------------------------------------------

All Cost Curves (including the Dynamic Cost Curve models) now incorporate 2005 costs and prices.
Input costs are based on national statistics data up to the third quarter of 2005
and the prices are based on LME and other prices to date.
Production estiamtes for 2005 are based on reported numbers where available
for the nine months to September 2005.

So for Cu, Zn, Pb, Mo, Ni, Fe and Mn, the cost curves for 2000-2005 are shown in
current dollars of the day, and the 2006 cost curves are in constant 2005 dollars.
The 2005 and 2006 cost curves now reflect the significant cost and price increases for last year
