MINECOST SUBSCRIBER REPORT FOR DECEMBER
========================================
New DCF Sheet
--------------------
Minecost models now incorporate capital costs in a new DCF sheet that has been added to all editable models.
Please note that the DCF sheet is ONLY in the editable models.
The DCF sheet calculates net cash flows after capital expenditures, working capital and tax paid for all modelled years
and estimates a sustainable future net cash flow figure until the end of mine life. This allows us to estimate
net present values for the mine for each year modelled.
This is a major evolution at minecost which will lead to enhanced industry cost curves showing cost rankings
which incorporate return on investment criteria as well as the traditional operating cash cost curves.
The enhanced cost curves will be introduced for each industry following the completion of model updates
for Year 2003 costs and prices.
See an example DCF sheet for the Grasberg mine at DCF Sheet or download the editable Grasberg model containing the new DCF sheet here.
